  1. Finding A Tutor    
  Q 1.1 Is it free to search for tutors?    
  A Searching for a qualified LuckyTutor is completely FREE! Enter your zip code, choose a subject, and click “Go.”    
     
  Q 1.2 How do I find a tutor that lives near me?    
  A Enter your zip code, choose a subject, and click “Go.” Our system will then search for tutors in your area. Browse through the comprehensive profiles, and then click “Contact Tutor” to send a message to the tutors of your choice. Feel free to click on the How it Works tab for more information.    
     
  Q 1.3 What happens if I cannot find the tutor I want?    
  A All areas are not created equally. Some areas have tons of tutors, while others have only a few. The number of tutors that appear in our search results depends on the population of your town, the subjects in which you need help, and several other factors. If our search does not produce enough tutors in your area, please send an email to info@luckytutors.com so that we can increase recruitment in your area.  
   
  Q 1.4. How do I contact the tutors that I find?      
  A Contacting a LuckyTutor is simple. After you have found the tutor you want, click on the “Contact Tutor” link located at the top right of each tutor profile. A window will appear where you can fill in your name, email address, and message. Click on the submit button and your message will be sent directly to the tutor. You may contact as many tutors as you want. Our service exists to help you find the help that you need.  
   
  Q 1.5. What should I write in my message?      
  A Try to keep your initial message relatively short (a few lines). The main items to include are your name, contact information, and the subject in which you need tutoring. Including your phone number is optional, but is highly recommended if you want a quicker response.

My son needs help with 7 th grade algebra. How much do you charge? Call 212-123-4567 or email me.
Thanks, John.

Sample 2:
Hi, my name is Sarah and I live in New York, NY. I need help with organic chemistry. I don’t understand oxidation and combustion. My final is next month. How much do you charge and when are you free? Call me at 212-123-4567 or email me.

  Q 1.5. How soon will tutors contact me?      
  A Tutors usually respond back to requests the same day or next day, since they are very serious about tutoring.  
  2. Membership - Becoming A Tutor      
  Q 2.1. How do I become a member/tutor of LuckyTutors?      
  A Becoming a member is a quick and easy. Click on the “Join Now” button or “Become a Member” tab to join the team. You’ll be done in 3 steps.  
   
  Q 2.2. How do I contact the tutors that I find?      
  A We offer two very affordable membership plans for individual users and companies with multiple tutors.

For Individuals:
a) 1 Month Plan - $12
b) 3 Month Plan - $30

For Companies (an entity operating as business or with multiple tutors):
a) 1 Month Plan - $21
b) 3 Month Plan - $50

For most tutors, this minor cost will easily pay for itself after just one or two tutoring sessions. You’ll probably even have money left over for lunch or dinner!

 
   
  Q 2.3. Can I see a sample profile?      
  A Of course you can see a sample profile. Just perform a sample search. Enter your zip code, choose a subject, and click “Go.” Click on a “View Profile” button and you are there.  
   
  Q 2.4. How many subjects can I list in my profile?      
  A Feel free to list as many subjects as you want, as long as you can provide quality tutoring for that subject area.  
   
  Q 2.5. What will I receive after I complete the membership form?      
  A Immediately after completing the membership form, you will be eligible to receive the following:
    • unlimited tutor requests and leads from students and parents that need help
    • a personalized profile full of your credentials, and picture
    • free posting of a link to your website
    • full access to our active library of resources.
 
   
  Q 2.6. What forms of payment do you accept? Do you accept credit cards, checks, money orders, and cash?  
  A We currently accept credit/debit cards with a Visa or MasterCard logo and American Express. We do not accept personal checks, money orders, or cash.  
   
  Q 2.7. How long will my membership last?      
  A The Monthly Plan will give you the full benefits and services of LuckyTutors for a period of 30 days. The Quarterly Plan will give you the full benefits and services of LuckyTutors for a period of 90 days. As a convenience to you, your membership will automatically renew at the end of each period. If you do not wish to renew the service, you must send an email to support@luckytutors.com and request cancellation of the service at least 2 business days before the end the period.  
   
  Q 2.8. How many tutor requests can I expect?      
  A The number of tutor requests that you receive depends on a number of factors including the following: your location, experience, education, and the subjects you tutor. Tutors located near larger cities that teach popular subjects tend to receive more requests than tutors in smaller towns that teach more advanced subjects. If you find that you are not receiving many requests, there are several things that you should consider doing:
    • increase the number of subjects that you will tutor
    • decrease the hourly rate you charge…is the rate reasonable for your location, experience, etc
    • edit aspects of your profile like your personal statement, availability, or picture

If these changes still do not work, send an email to support@luckytutors.com and we’ll try to increase advertisement in your area.

 
   
  Q 2.9. What happens if I do not receive any requests from students or parents?      
  A We stand by our service. If you do not receive any requests during your period, LuckyTutors will gladly extend your membership for 30 days so that you have more opportunities to receive those requests..  
   
  Q 2.10. How do I cancel my membership?      
  A Are you sure you want to cancel your membership? If you cancel your membership, you will no longer have access to the LuckyTutors.com databases nor any of its benefits. Your account will also be cancelled. If you still want to cancel your membership, you must send an email to support@luckytutors.com and request cancellation of the service at least 2 business days before the end the period.  
  3. Questions About Our Tutors      
  Q 3.1. What types of skills/experience do your tutors have?      
  A Our tutors have attained a variety of certifications, skills, and experiences from many different life events. Some are currently teachers, professors, computer programmers, and graduate students, while others are professionals with expertise in specific subject areas. This range of abilities allows you the opportunity to select the tutor that best suits your needs.  
   
  Q 3.2. How much do the tutors cost?      
  A Tutors are typically paid an hourly rate that varies depending on multiple factors including geographic location, years of experience, certifications, and special skills. Tutors with more experience, higher education, and specialized skills charge higher rates. We suggest that students and parents browse through the rates suggested in the tutor profiles within their city, and arrive at an average rate that is affordable for you. Keep in mind that the rates listed in profiles may be negotiable. Typically, tutors are paid at the end of each session.  
   
  Q 3.3. Where will I be tutored?      
  A This is up to you and the tutor. Some tutors will tutor in your home, in their own home, or in public locations. Others prefer to tutor on-line or through email. Always tutor at a location that this is comfortable for both parties.  
   
  Q 3.4. Does LuckyTutors.com screen its tutors?      
  A We do not perform background checks on our sitters because only you know what is best for you. It is suggested that parents and students review our “Find A Tutor” Tab which details how users should verify the identity of their tutor. This includes interviewing candidates, calling references, checking driver’s licenses, and checking college IDs. Meeting in public places, such as a library or coffee shop, provides extra security.  
   
  Q 3.5. What happens if my tutor does not show up for a meeting?      
  A Reliability is extremely important to us. What good is a tutor if they don’t show up? The tutors listed with LuckyTutors have paid to be listed in our database. This means they want to work and want to help you. They are very serious about what they do. Additionally, LuckyTutors has a strict 3 Strike Policy regarding lateness and missed meetings. Tutors are given a total of two warnings for missed meetings. If a third missed meeting occurs within 1 year (without proper notification), the tutor will be immediately removed from our database. This process helps maintain the integrity and quality of our service.  
  4. Account Management & Security      
  Q 4.1. Is my information secure and kept private?      
  A LuckyTutors uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) authentication and encryption technology via Sage Payment Solutions. This is the most sophisticated commercially-available technology available, and is the choice of leading e-commerce websites. With patented technology developed by Netscape Communications and encryption developed by RSA Data Security, Inc. and other cryptographic providers, the SSL encryption protects information being transmitted across the Internet from third parties.

We also promise not to sell any of your information whatsoever to any third parties whatsoever. The information that we do retain is only used internally to help improve your overall experience.

 
   
  Q 4.2. Who can I contact if I have problems signing on?      
  A Please double-check that you are using the correct username and password. Also check that you do not have on the CAPS Lock button. If the problems persist, send an email to support@luckytutors.com, and we will help you as soon as possible  
   
  Q 4.3. Can I give my account information to someone else?      
  A No, you may not give out any of your account information such as your username and password. All personal and account information should be kept to yourself.
